About Career Academy
Career Academy of Marquette delivers medical billing, coding, transcription, and health information technology certificate program training to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan community. We offer individualized instruction, small class sizes, and state-of-the-art technology.
We network with the employment community and offer educational programs based on the needs of the healthcare employers in our area. In 2009, we added exciting new certificate programs in Certified Coding Specialist examination preparation.
CAM's Medical Terminology Certificate Program provides successful graduates with the entry-level medical and technical skills needed to obtain employment in clerk, reception, and registration positions in medical, dental, chiropractic, and psychologist offices, as well as in hospitals and other healthcare-related organizations.
CAM's Medical Billing and Coding Certificate Program provides successful graduates with the health information technology skills needed to obtain positions in physician billing departments, hospital billing and business departments, hospital health information management and medical records departments, and in other healthcare-related settings, such as durable medical equipment companies, insurance companies, data analytics firms, and many others.
CAM's Certified Coding Specialist Examination Preparation Programs provide successful graduates with advanced coding skills and practical examination experience to aid those seeking to gain one (or more) of the Certified Coding Specialist credentials offered by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
CAM's Medical Transcription Certificate Program provides successful graduates with the medical language knowledge and technical skills needed to obtain positions in medical transcription firms and in healthcare settings such as physician offices, medical clinics, and hospitals.
CAM also delivers customized computer training for groups and individuals, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project, and many other applications.
CAM has been licensed by the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth since 2005.

Career Academy of Marquette strives to deliver state-of-the-art training for medical billers and coders, health information technology and management professionals, and medical transcriptionists.
We also deliver in-depth computer technology programs for the beginner to the advanced user.
